Arizona

  • ESA Accepted
Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)
Eligible students
Arizona K–12 students who meet the state’s residency and program requirements.
Funding schedule
Four quarterly installments. Availability depends on your ESA contract and account status.

South Carolina

  • ESTF Accepted
Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF)
Eligible students
South Carolina K–12 students who meet the state’s residency, age, household-income, and program requirements.
Funding schedule
Quarterly funding. The first annual payment is distributed by July 31; later release dates follow the state’s schedule.

SEA status
Approved to accept ESTF funding for eligible SEA expenses.

Your state determines eligibility, award amounts, and covered expenses. Funding release dates are separate from SEA tuition due dates; confirm your payment arrangements before enrollment.

What do ESA, EFA, ESTF, and voucher mean?

ESA

An education savings account provides state funding for approved education expenses. Arizona calls its program an Empowerment Scholarship Account.

EFA

An Education Freedom Account is a state program that helps eligible families pay for approved educational options, including certain tuition and curriculum expenses.

ESTF

South Carolina’s Education Scholarship Trust Fund provides eligible families with scholarship funds for approved educational expenses, including qualifying tuition and online education services.

Voucher or scholarship

These programs can help with eligible school costs. Each has its own rules; having an award does not automatically mean it can be used at every school.

Full-Time Ministry Families

Families serving in full-time ministry may qualify for SEA’s ministry tuition discount.
Qualify for more than one? Families with siblings enrolled who also qualify for military or full-time ministry savings can receive a 20% tuition discount. Ask Admissions for your family’s discounted tuition.

Southeast Academy accepts Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds, Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA) funds, and South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) funds through ClassWallet for eligible SEA expenses. Contact Admissions to confirm how your award can be used for your student’s enrollment.

ESAs and EFAs provide eligible families with state funding for approved educational expenses. South Carolina’s ESTF provides scholarship funds for qualifying educational expenses. Vouchers and scholarships can also help cover eligible school costs. Each program sets its own eligibility requirements, approved expenses, and participating-provider rules.

Your award may cover part or all of your eligible tuition, depending on your available balance, your student’s program, and the state’s rules. Admissions can help you compare SEA’s tuition with your award so you understand any remaining costs before enrolling.

Arizona ESA, Arkansas EFA, and South Carolina ESTF funding is distributed quarterly, but release dates and processing times can vary. Confirm your tuition payment arrangements with SEA rather than assuming they match your state’s funding schedule.

Yes. SEA offers a 10% sibling tuition discount, along with 10% discounts for qualifying military and full-time ministry families. Families enrolling siblings who also qualify for a military or full-time ministry discount can receive a combined 20% tuition discount. Contact Admissions to confirm which students and charges qualify.
