Electives

Southeast Academy ElectivesEven though our 1st-8th grade tuition includes five core subjects and high school tuition includes six core subjects, some students may desire or need an additional course. Gifted students may need an elective to broaden their education. Some students may have a special interest area. Statistically, students perform better in school if some of their studies include focusing on a real-world learning opportunity. Some students may need an extra course to graduate on time. SEA has a number of elective courses that can be taken in addition to the included courses. It is recommended to visit your course counselor to evaluate student load.  Students who are not full-time have an increased elective cost to cover administration.

What people are saying about SEA

“We started using Southeast Academy in January of 2019 after a very bad experience at a private school. Southeast has been such a wonderful experience for my soon to be 9th and 5th graders. The teachers are in constant contact with them and answer any question they have. The office staff is prompt on any questions also. We are very pleased with Southeast. They are also accredited, which is very important when its time for your child to graduate. I would highly recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a homeschool program.” Marcia C from LA

10 Month or 12 Month School Year

Southeast Academy offers a traditional 10 month school year or a 12 month year round option! Year Round allows the student to complete the same amount of work as the traditional year, but over a 12 month period. The Year Round option offers more flexibility for when vacations are taken. The Year Round option can help a parent that is working part-time that needs a shorter school week. The Year Round option can work better for a student that may need more time to master concepts.
