What Parents & Students Say

Don’t just take our word for it—hear from families who have trusted Southeast Academy with their child’s education and success.
We switched to Southeast Academy in fourth grade after our charter school experience went downhill, and we found beyond better! My son, now heading into 7th grade, regained his drive to learn within the first two weeks. The teachers and office staff are in constant contact and quick to answer any question, and the positive reinforcement is wonderful. Southeast is also accredited, which matters when it's time for your child to graduate. I highly recommend this school to everyone I meet.
Trish W., AZ
“This is our 10th year with Southeast Academy, and we couldn't be more pleased with the program. The teachers are wonderful, and I like having the option to do the parent-led program up until the 8th grade. It truly is a great value compared to other similar programs. The flexible schedule is a great fit for our family as well.”

Allison
“Southeast is an amazing school system that is providing my son with all the tools and guidance he could need to advance in his future as much as possible. I also find that their administration is top-notch in responding to any and all questions or concerns. They are a well established institution and deserve my praise for their efforts.”

ARIZONA ESA PARENT FAQ

Quick answers before you enroll

Use these answers to decide whether Southeast Academy is the right online Christian school option for your family and how Arizona ESA funding may help.

Yes. Arizona ESA dollars can cover education expenses such as private school tuition, curricula, educational supplies, tutoring, and more. Southeast Academy is an approved vendor in ClassWallet, so Arizona families can use the ESA process toward eligible SEA tuition and fees.

The Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program lets approved families use state education funds for an education option that fits their child, including education at home, private school tuition, curriculum, supplies, tutoring, and other approved expenses.

Funding varies by student and is set by Arizona’s ESA formula. Many families receive approximately $7,000–$8,000 per year, and students with IEPs or qualifying disability categories may receive significantly more, often up to about $25,000–$30,000 depending on the student’s needs and eligibility category.

Arizona ESA is broadly available to Arizona resident K–12 students who are eligible to enroll in an Arizona public school. ADE requires documentation such as the student’s birth certificate and proof of Arizona residency. Entering kindergarten students must meet the state’s age requirement for the contract year.

ClassWallet is the financial management platform for Arizona ESA. Parents can use it to make tuition payments, purchase educational items, and pay for other approved education-related expenses. When a vendor or school is set up in ClassWallet, families can submit invoices or pay through the platform instead of managing everything by reimbursement.

Arizona ESA funding is divided into four quarterly disbursements. The quarters are July–September, October–December, January–March, and April–June. Families often plan tuition payments around quarterly funding timing, such as late summer/early fall, November, February, and May, depending on contract timing and account status.

Yes. Southeast Academy offers accredited programs with certified teacher support and grading, including records, report cards, transcripts, standardized testing for grades 3–12, and diploma-track options for high school students.

Flexible pacing, optional 10- or 12-month structures, a Christian curriculum, dedicated teacher support, and an ESA-friendly ClassWallet payment process help school fit around your family’s life and schedule.
