Free Online Curriculum Parent Scoring
Most lessons use automatic electronic scoring instantly to correct the student’s work. The instant checking of answers helps correct the student’s thinking while the question is still fresh in their mental processing, and before wrong answers are stored in the student’s memory.
Occasionally, parents will have to do some subjective scoring where answers cannot be electronically scored. The computer will score approximately 90% of the work.
When a student finishes a lesson or quiz, they will see if any answers need to be reviewed by the parent. The student should let the parent know when an answer needs a human review. Once the parent reviews the subjective answers and they are corrected by the student, the final score can be seen.
If you were to enroll at SEA next year, our Distinctive and Elite programs include the subjective scoring for the parent, plus record-keeping and an accredited diploma. Those benefits allow parents to focus more on encouragement with their interaction, such as praising for quantity of work completed and good scores. This helps families greatly for the long haul with school from home! SEA has frozen tuition costs to help families, plus offer a waived family registration fee for 2020-21 if registering by the end of May.
